We Are… A Loving Family That Glorifies God By Building People Up in Christ.
We have been adopted into God’s family and called to share the life, light, and love of Jesus with one another and our community. God gets glory when people are built up in Christ.
We Are… Rooted in the Gospel.
The Gospel is the Good News about what God has done to rescue us from our sin and root us in heavenly soil. Everything we do is grounded in the finished work of Christ on our behalf.
We Are… Growing in Grace.
Grace is the beginning, middle, and end of the Christian life. All our growth comes from God graciously working in and through His people to make us look more and more like Jesus.
We Are… Renewed by the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God in and with us. He is the Lord and Giver of Life who renews our hearts and enables us to walk in step with the Gospel as we bring glory to our triune God.
We Are… Connected in Community.
There is no such thing as a lone ranger Christian. As the body of Christ and household of God, we love, serve, and encourage one another in continuous, intentional community.
We Are… Branching Out in Mission.
We have been commissioned by Jesus to be His witnesses in Mt Juliet, Hermitage, Lebanon, and to the end of the earth. We fulfill that commission through local and global missions.
What About Our Doctrine?
Hickory Grove is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith (with Larger and Shorter Catechisms) as a faithful exposition of Scripture and the doctrinal standard of our church. As our standard of church polity and procedure, we follow the PCA’s Book of Church Order.
