Unto Us a Prophet is Born (Luke 1:57-80)

Another story, another song. In today’s passage, John is born and Zechariah’s silence is ended. And what does he do as soon as he can speak again? Blesses God and sings about the great and wonderful things He has done. Zechariah’s song won’t just teach us about what God has done to redeem His people; it’ll show us that even when we are at our least faithful, God can restore us and make us joyfully willing mouthpieces of His goodness and glory.
