Abram truly believed God’s Word, but that did not mean his faith was perfect. He needed God’s help to understand how He would fulfill His promises. Far from rebuking him, God gave Abram all the assurance he needed by entering into a covenant with him. In the same way, He assures us of His love and faithfulness to us by making the same covenant with us in Christ.
