Such a Thing Must Not Be Done (Gen 34)

Many of the Bible’s stories are messy. Even when the “good” guys do the “right” thing, they often do it in horribly wrong ways. Today, we witness that very dynamic as Dinah’s brothers stand up for their sister in a way that dishonors both their father and their God. And yet, God uses this failure to protect His people and guide them back to the land of Promise.
