The Judgment of God and the Breakdown of Society (Isa 3:1-4:1)

When Israel turned from God, society collapsed. In today’s passage, we see how God judges His people for turning away from the pattern of leadership He set forth in His Word. Although this is a hard word of judgment, it sets the stage for the coming of a Son who will stand and lead the Daughter of Zion in the way she should go.
