A Day to Rest (Gen 2:1-3)

On the seventh and final day of creation, God stopped and rested. The God of Israel of who neither slumbers nor sleeps has no need of rest, yet He did it in order to set a pattern for His people and to give them one of the most precious gifts He could have given them. Sadly, we neglect this gift in our modern. Today, we’ll consider a pattern of life as old as time, the commandment that safeguards it, and how Jesus came not to take the gift away but to restore it.
