As Joseph’s brothers return to Egypt, their consciences afflict them again. “The man” must surely be against them, because they imagine him to be as wicked as they. But his generosity begins to shine through and, in that, we see the beauty of the Lord Himself who does not receive us in anger but with mercy and grace.
