Do Not Quarrel on the Way (Genesis 45)

Brothers and sisters in Christ ought not to quarrel and fight with one another. And yet we do. In today’s passage we see Joseph’s unexpected instruction to his brothers: do not quarrel on the way. He had just spared them and given them more than they could possibly hope, and yet they still need to be told not to fight about it. The same is true for us, and in today’s sermon we’ll see that God has given me more than we could ask for in Christ. Not only does He tell us not to quarrel on the way, but He gives us the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace to help us maintain harmony in the body of Christ.
