“So Close, Yet So Far” (Luke 9:37-50)

Jesus gave His disciples the opportunity to see and accomplish incredible things. Yet, so many times, they failed to understand see Him rightly. So, they needed their vision corrected. The beautiful thing this passage shows us is that, even when we’re slow to grasp the truth, Jesus is patient with us. He doesn’t kick us off His team. He bears with us and corrects us so that we can press on as we take up our cross and follow Him.
