The Righteous Fool (Genesis 19)

As Abraham’s nephew, Lot is counted righteous and spared from the destruction of Sodom. Yet, as we read his story, we learn that too much of Sodom’s sin and wordiness infected Lot’s heart and mind. The result is salvation by the skin of his teeth and disaster for his family the legacy he leaves behind.
