How many genders did God create? Two? Five? Seven billion? None? And who gets to decide what gender we are? Should we let kids decide for themselves? Do parents get a say? Should transgender kids be given puberty blockers? Does the Bible have anything to say about any of this? Yes, it does, and today we’ll consider a biblical view on the question of gender and how we should treat those who are experiencing deep confusion surrounding their embodied reality.
