Is Biblical Christianity Bad for Women? (Gen 2:4-25)

God created man, male and female, in His own image. That makes men and women equal, but it does not make them the same. The Bible teaches a number of things about the differences between masculine and feminine roles in the home, church, and society that rub against the grain of our egalitarian culture. Many in our day find that oppressive and think that Christianity is to blame for the abuse and subjugation of women. Not only is that empirically false, but the Bible shows us that when men and women embrace the differences God wove into creation, the effect is MORE freedom and fulfillment—not less.
