The Binding of Isaac and the Faithfulness of God (Genesis 22)
In this most challenging of Bible stories, God asks Abraham to do the unthinkable—to sacrifice his son. Of course, God had no intention of letting the boy see harm, but Abraham didn’t know that. In his dutiful response of faith, we learn that God wants us to give it all. Crucially, He gives infinitely more for us than we could ever give for Him when He gives up His only son for our sake on the cross.
