He Will Tend His Vineyard (Isa 5:1-30)

In today’s passage, Isaiah prophecies of God’s coming to destroy the vineyard that He had loved and tended so well. This chapter ends on a sour note, but that sour note is meant to set up the rest of Isaiah. God will send a messenger to proclaim the unthinkable: although Israel deserves nothing but wrath, God will restore and replant His vineyard.
