The Hope of One, The Hope of Many (Isa 6:1-7)
In one of the most vivid and memorable scenes in all the Bible, today’s passage tells of Isaiah’s great throne room vision. Here, we see the holiness of God confront the sinfulness of man. And as God sends his angel to provide atonement for Isaiah’s sin, He provides hope for all of Israel. If the man of unclean lips from the people of unclean lips can be cleansed, then so can the people whom God is calling him to go and reach.
